March 24, 2020
In response to COVID-19 and the Executive Order of Governor Whitmer ALL in-person gatherings at the church are cancelled through at least April 12. We will continue ONLINE ONLY through that time.
Anyone can join our online family each and every weekend as we release our service on our Facebook page (/eastflint) each Sunday at 10:45. In addition to the Sunday service we will be adding devotional thoughts each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
An executive order, "Stay Safe, Stay Home" has been put into place by Governor Whitmer asking all Michiganders to stay in their homes unless they’re a part of that critical infrastructure workforce, engaged in an outdoor activity, or performing tasks necessary to the health and safety of themselves or their family, like going to the hospital or grocery store. As a result, we will be suspending our public gatherings to meet that requirement.
Over the course of this time, our staff will continue to work from home. We are available to meet the needs of our community. We will pray, we will serve, we will help, to the best of our abilities. If you are in need of assistance, prayer, or even a simple word of encouragment, please reach out to us.
We will continue to monitor the situation and follow the recommendations of our state and local officials as the situation progresses. At this point, we will plan to meet in person on Sunday, April 19, 2020 unless we are directed otherwise.
Stay tuned for further updates.
