Believes
We believe that God calls us to a life of holy living that is marked by an act of God, cleansing the heart from original sin and filling the individual with love for God and humankind. This experience is marked by entire consecration of the believer to do God's will and is followed by a life of seeking to serve God through service to others. Like salvation, entire sanctification is an act of love whereby we show our appreciation for the grace that has been exteded to us through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
History
We are a church with a long and rich history - and it all began in a tent. In the fall of 1939, 24 charter members, under the leadership of Reverend Laurence Preston, began meeting in a tent on the property located on the corner of Richfield and Douglas Roads. By the next spring, the church was build and officially organized as East Flint Church of the Nazarene. Since then, we have gone through many changes, including the move to the Belsay Road property in 1968 under the shepherding of Reverend D.K. King, the building of the dome sanctuary at the front of the property (that is now our Children's Center) under Reverend Ron Comfort's leadership and the building of our current worship center, the Family Life Center, in 1999 under the shepherding of Reverend Daryl Blank. Although our locations have changed and pastors have been called here and called away, the essence of East Flint Naz has remained the same. We are a church that strives to make Christlike disciples.
